  6. Love your games! Spend way too much time playing instead of working. :)
One comment / suggestion if you don't mind....
I recently played one of your older games. Sorry I don't remember which one because I've played so many lately. Anyway, in this particular game, the background on the map was transparent. It was awesome! I was able to navigate through the game with the map open. You could view the rooms through the transparent background so you knew where you were at all times. Close the map, play the room, open map again and move on... It was awesome. :) Ironically in the EscapeGames24 walkthrough there were several comments on the difficulty people were having navigating. Since it was not a live game, I could only complain to myself that it was actually the easiest navigating game you have ever produced! (In my opinion.) I'm getting used to using the other maps, usually print them out, but still like the clear one the best.
Thanks for your great work....... Amber

  7. Hi, I LOVE your games! I happened upon a website that has cool pictures of abandoned places and thought you might be able to use some of them for new games--or maybe just enjoy looking at them:

  8. Mr. Selfdefiant, just curious I have researched asylums in the past those still in use ( in Europe ) and those abandoned and eventually torn down such as Hellingsly in your abandoned games so much is so true to what most of the pictures I have seen are real ..did you visit theses places? So many have and documented them ..I just loved your games when I found them made me feel as tho I was going through them not via just the pictures and documents I have seen and read but for real sorta at first creeped me out maybe because I had read so much about them .. Just wondering that's all Blessings

  9. The marbles get you into the mansion,
The gems get you out of the mansion,
The cogs to find the key...
    Which leads to the Asylum...
The door out of the asylum, goes to the beach!

    Am I dreaming. LOL

  12. Hi selfdefiant, add my accolades to all those above. Just played Notebook Escape and thought it was absolutely brilliant. Many others too, your recurring themes are well-chosen yet you always might shake things up a bit as well. A true artist! Anyway the point of this post is, I've been playing all your games from the beginning - I'm up to Sneaky's Travels 2 and can't get it to load, that is it loads partially and then stops. Been trying for several days now, in between other things. This is the first time I've had this problem - is there something wrong with the file perhaps? I'd sure like to visit the Bahamas, even if virtually, and I'd like to play the 'Travels' series in order.
Thanks, if you have time to look into it; I'll try again in a few days. I don't want to distract you from making new ones, either!
    Best,
    Justin

Why don't you put some sort of bio on blogger? I'd be interested in knowing how you acquired your interest in the look of abandoned places.

  15. Hey, SD. I was looking for Android games and came across this guy who seems to have ported some of yours to Android.
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Martin+C.

See the Room Pocket Escape, Horrible House, and Sewer Escape.

He also seems to have ported a few Japanese games as well. Multi Door and Horrible School.

I'm concerned that this was not endorsed by you.

  16. ps/ if it turns out this guy does not have permission, let me know. I think the Japanese developers would want to know too. I have a feeling he doesn't; from the comments it looks like the games are loaded with ads, which he would presumably get revenue for.
